Masa Madre, meaning "mother dough" in Spanish, refers to the starter from which bread is born. It is the seed where nourishment springs forth from flour, water and salt. It is the alchemy that takes these ubiquitous ingredients, and makes them into a culinary treasure that spans the scope of our planet’s food traditions.

Masa Madre’s sourdough bread is made with 100% New Mexican flour milled by Valencia Flour Mill in Jarales, NM featuring Navajo-grown wheat. The signature loaf, the Country Boule, is made of 85% white, 15% whole wheat flour with only three ingredients: flour, water and salt. All breads feature ‘Rhastacana’ , Cassidy's mother starter, hailing from the mountain jungles of Peru.

From personalized cook services to community events, supper clubs and catering; Masa Madre builds community through food.
